At the risk of getting on ur nerves , I gotta question about headlights. I don’t see anything written on my lens so I don’t think my ‘98 has hid. I’m wanting the whitest of white lights for low n high beam also fogs. I just wanna do it the easiest so without a conversion. What plug n play bulbs would u suggest?
@gailconner2285 ok a quick way to find out is if you have a cover behind you headlights or not or if when you first turn on yout headlights they change color over a few seconds until they fully kick on if thay happens you have HID

@@JSmooth570 next to my low beam my high beam isn’t the same brite white. When I 1st turn lites on my low beam is a lil dingy then get brite. So I’m guessing they are hid. I will order a set of hid for high beam. Maybe changed bulbs in car when u first got it but I really don’t remember. I do remember changing the fogs tho. They look good like the low beam

@gailconner2285 yeah just clean the surface with an alcohol pad before sticking and leave a little sticking out when you start then cut it off once you have it on all the way around. The first side I started on the edge and once I started pulling it around it moved and was no longer flush. But I had enough it's like 6 feet and you only need like 2ft to do both sides.

I took the stock screws in the glove box and went to home depot and got the same just a little longer

Damn I feel confident installing with this video except where you tapped into the wires. Not sure which one you did since it wasn’t shown.
At the 10:57 mark I show it the black and gray wire is positive and the black wire is ground. I tapped into the wires on the female side of the harness that plugs to the taillights that I showed at the 10:40 mark

This is very cool. I saw in another video you had the climate controls inside the upper glove box. My ls400 is a 99 and has the navigation system. Do you know if it is possible to swap the navigation head unit with the smaller climate controller that fits in the dash? I'd like to be able to install a more modern head unit.

No not the motor and if you ate not wrapping the headliner you don't have to remove the sunroof at all

What did you hook your power to? I cant seem to figure out what I want to do for my ls400. I have a larger box that will only fit behind the back seat so I just dont know what I can splice/ use for power to mine.
I tapped into the radio power wire for the releys, and then I used the illumination radio wire and the courtesy lights wire as a trigger

You could have used the floor bolts for the seats for a ground, rather than drill a hole through the trunk floor 🤣
The ground wire that came with the kit was short
You have to rub oil on the filter so the gasket doesnt dry up and crack
Do you know what the offsets of your front and rear wheels are? I'm wanting to get a particular set of 19"x9.5" +22 for the front and 19"x10.5" +22 in the rear. The thing is I already know the rears are going to poke out a little, maybe half inch with a +22 offset. A +35 or +40 offset would tuck the wheels in further and probably wouldn't stick out but the wheels I'm wanting doesn't come in that offset, I think some of the smaller wheels do but not the 19s. This is for an LS430. So I guess another question is have you tried to roll or pull the fenders after you shaved them and if so how did that go? I may need to do that to make clearnace for these.
Thr off set on mine are 35 they do not poke out they fit just right inside the wheel well

@bodeine454 in theory yes but I didn't need to roll them I thought i did so I bought a roller. You just need a hear gun and a roller to do the fenders
@JSmooth570 I have a heat gun, just need a roller. I was just trying to figure out if they'll roll and pull better after shaving because LS430 fenders like to dimple if you're only rolling. I was hoping that shaving first would keep them from dimpling when they're rolled. Seems to be difficult to find that info.
@bodeine454 the rear need to be shaved first before rolling the front you only cut off the tabs for the liner then you can roll you might need to make some relief cuts 3 or 4 to l roll but don't cut off the fronts only the rear
